I recently wrote an article for Neurology Now about a positive experience I had when, despite being in an “off” state, I successfully rode my bike several long blocks to deliver a Metrocard to my teenage son who had forgot it at the house. John Ball is one of the most prolific marathon runners with Parkinson's in the world. Since turning 51 John has completed over 25 solo-marathons, numerous team events, and one thirty-one mile ultra-marathon in the high, dry Californian desert. He is also a motivational speaker at Parkinson's support groups up and down the west coast.
