Welcome, and congratulations.
You have been invited to participate in the group dance “Ooh Aah!,” to take place at the 2019 World Parkinson’s Congress in Kyoto, Japan. If you choose to accept this invitation you will become part of a group of 30-80 dancers from all across the world, who will come together and perform this piece in the opening ceremony of the Congress in June of this year!
Set to the pounding drums of the famous KODO Taiko Performing Arts Ensemble, “Ooh Aah!” celebrates the collective physical and vocal power of people with Parkinson’s. The dance is around four minutes long, and it is simple and easy to learn. Most of it takes place in a chair, so people of all ability levels can participate.
